Comments: My father is Maurice Ray Carver in Vanceberg, KY. He showed me
another geneology that had been done on the Carver history and i was curious if
the Carvers may have been part of the McCarvers in ireland before coming to
america? Any ideas?

Comments: I have been trying to trace my Carver
ancestry. My Carver ancestors were Irish. The most recent one I have a name and
date of birth is James Carver, born in March of 1826 in Tennessee. He married,
probably a Ruth C.? He may have lived in Kentucky after that. I know for sure
that James Carver was living in Parke County, Indiana by 1858 (if not sooner).
Their first infant, Tavner or Tavern was born in 1858 in Indiana. The remaining
ones were also born in Parke County, Indiana. They were Mary J. probably born in
1862. America Alice, born in February of 1864, and Jeremiah, probably born in
1869. Any help that you give me would be very much appreciated!!! Thank you.
